Bake Sale in Support of the UK Sepsis Trust
MediSieve held a charity bake sale to support the UK Sepsis Trust on the World Sepsis Day.
On Friday 13th the whole world was celebrating the World Sepsis Day and raising the awareness of this terrifying blood-borne disease. MediSieve did not stand apart and held a fundraising bake sale. The goal was to increase the awareness of sepsis across and beyond the Translation and Innovation Hub, the location of MediSieve's office, and to collect funds for the UK Sepsis Trust. In addition to that, MediSieve also started a Wear Red Campaign in order to bring more attention to the issue of sepsis. Overall, the MediSieve team has raised £310 for the UK Sepsis Trust.
About Magnetic Blood Filtration
MediSieve's Magnetic Blood Filtration Platform is intended to enable the rapid and specific depletion of specific agents from the bloodstream of patients. The extracorporeal therapy uses therapeutic Magnetic Beads that are designed to bind specifically to the clinical target. The Beads are introduced into the extracorporeal circuit during the therapy, mixing with the patient’s blood and binding to the clinical targets. The Delivery Platform captures all the Magnetic Beads and bound targets, preventing their return to the patient.
